The American Proletariat

THE AMERICAN PROLETARIAT: THE BLAST ZONE

I was born into the standard nuclear family, raised in a typical suburban town, learned the same lessons in high school as everyone else, experienced the average college life, struggled to find a job after graduating, am in 150,000 dollars in college debt just like the rest of the young professionals, and have assumed my position as an American Proletariat; however, my mind is anything but typical or even average... At the age of sixteen I started following a different path than my environment and past experiences would dictate me to follow, by asking one simple question, why? Every time I answered a question, the answer would yield two more. Before I realized it, my mind grew ill at the fact that no one that I encountered, including experts in their field, teachers and professors, my elders and peers had incomplete or flawed answers to my questions.

By the time I turned 18, the realization that most adults were old in body and young in mind while the majority of my peers were young in mind and young in body left me standing lonesome. Trying to find another person like me has been an utter failure as I have furthered isolated myself from my surroundings. Spending the majority of my adulthood in relative isolation from both my family and friends has lead to moving over sixteen times in five years. I made great friends along the way that I love dearly, however they too realized that I am entirely unique about how I think and the actions that follow thereafter; which, has lead to an adverse affect on sharing a deep relationship. I am the exception, I am unique, I am young in body and old in mind...I stand alone.

My approach to solving the question “why” was different than most, in that I came to a point where I stopped reviewing historical references and current publications to find answers in hope to develop the critical thinking skills required to solve difficult questions (something that no book can teach a person). I remember the first time when I posed the important question to a friend that if a person goes out into a forest by him/herself without knowledge of the terrain and native animals, without having developed the necessary survival skills, less modern days tools and equipment, and without a friend/family member knowing where s/he went to, how close would s/he be to capturing the experiences of the first explorer that traveled that terrain. My friend then replied to me by not answering the question rather replied “why would you do such a stupid thing.” I replied, “Because I can and I will and that’s enough reason for me to do it,” He then stared at me pondering whether I was serious or not, therefore I took my apron off, patted him on his back, and told him to start looking for me in North if I didn't come back to work in four days. I then preceded to clock out of work early, drove deep into the Arizona desert hiding my truck in a valley and set forth on my first mountaineering trip in 115 degree temperature...by myself.

Throughout my journeys I have become a think-tank, solving thousands of questions that cause great peril to most. Interestingly enough, no matter the question that I pondered the answer would eventually lead to two additional questions being asked: What is the meaning of life and what is a human’s purpose in it. In order to appeal to the masses the book will not be written using difficult verbiage as it would draw away from capturing the unadulterated view of an American Proletariat. Like most American workers, I hold no credentials and little to no formal studies in sociology, psychology, history, politics, economics, religion, science, or math. In fact the only credentials I harbor (and the basis of my education) are in the technical and management sides of the Automobile industry. To ensure the perspective of a layman will be upheld throughout the entire length of the book very few sections if any will reference accepted doctrines or professional publications that I don't already know of. The approach of using only my existing knowledge from my education and past experiences to be combined with logic and common sense was done on purpose as it is critical that I do not deviate from the true essence of the book; an American workers critique of America’s social, cultural, political and religious standing in search for a higher meaning.

“The American Proletariat: The Blast Zone” is book one in a two book series. Book two, yet to be named, will be an advanced study of each topic in book one utilizing all known publications and experts’ opinions to analyze the validity of my claims. Throughout the process of analyzing the validity of my claims, great efforts will be given to how I derived my conclusions be it true or false and how to develop innovative methods to not repeat the same mistakes.

The purpose of my book is two fold, first it will be used to capture the attention of the few and rare experts and scientists in the world so that I might have the opportunity to discuss and critique The American Proletariat: The Blast Zone with them. In doing so the claims in book one will be strengthened or destroyed; either way the best possible answer will be formulated and shared with the world in book two. The second and primary purpose of the book is to act as a medium to let those few people in the world that think like me that they no longer have to stand lonesome.
